The vision for the African and Caribbean Business Experience could be summed up as: See Africa and Caribbean Differently
The African and Caribbean Business Experience (AACBE) creates a space for UK business to access solid opportunities in emerging markets in Africa and the Caribbean. With a firm focus on quality and a careful evaluation filter, we only connect the best to the best.
The African and Caribbean Business Experience was launched to great acclaim with its first major Expo in August 2012 (see video above). Held at the 5-star Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, the event brought together UK cabinet ministers such as Vince Cable, with leading business people from Africa and the Caribbean, such as the Nigerian Stock Exchange’s CEO Oscar Onyema. With more than 3000 business representatives from the UK and abroad attending over the week and widespread media coverage including the BBC’s flagship topical review Newsnight, the 2012 AACBE Expo was a definitive success
“I am convinced that Africa has the potential to see growth and development in the 21st Century. It is why part of the work that my Africa Governance Initiative does is focused on helping our partner governments to make reforms to the business climate and develop their capacity to attract, assess and retain high-quality investment.
The African and Caribbean Business Expo sounds like a great event, particularly for the promotion of business investment opportunities in Africa. I am certain that the Expo will be a great success and I would like to wish everyone involved all the very best for an enjoyable event.”
